About this item
A good quality, 19th century, English copper Savarin mould. This simple shape of ring mould was named after Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, the French lawyer and gastronome who wrote “The Physiology of Taste”. This example is stamped with the manufacturers mark “ADAMS & SON 26 BURY ST. LONDON S.W.”. It is also beautifully engraved with a crown above the initials “N A”. It is in excellent condition and the tinning, to the interior, is still in very good condition so it could be used. It dates from c.1870
