About this item
A nineteenth century French copper mould. This is marked with the cockerel symbol which was the mark of the French company Letang. It is also stamped with a pattern number ‘245’ and it dates from c.1870. The design consist of ten small dome tops with two rows of stiff leaves to the sides. The mould is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it is in very good condition. A small hole has been pierced in the side so that the mould can hang and the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
