About this item
A rare, Victorian copper mould with a square and compass to the top. This is a Masonic symbol and this design of mould is very hard to come by. It is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benham’s above the pattern number ’547’. To the opposite side is a workman’s mark in the shape of a fleur de lys and there is also a registered design number ‘RD198946’. It dates from c.1890. The design is deeply moulded and this sits above angular columns which mirror the shape of the square and compass design.
Condition: It has taken a small bump to the top and this has resulted in a crease in the copper on one of the points of the compass. Other than this it is very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn.
Dimensions: Diameter 12.2cm. Height 12.5cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
