About this item
A tall, Victorian copper mould made by Benhams. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above the pattern number ‘435’.To the opposite side is a workman’s mark in the shape of a cross within a square. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. The design consists of a fluted top section above a rope twist band.
There is slight pitting to the copper, from use, but otherwise it is in good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn so it could not be used.
