About this item
A super quality, tall, 19th century copper mould. This is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1860. It was probably made by Benhams and it is stamped with a pattern number “208” although there is no manufacturers mark. The design is very intricate, with a type of rope twist to the top and eight, long, rounded topped columns to the sides which are divided by further, wider columns. It is a delightful design which would turn out very well and the tinning is in very good, usable condition. Overall the mould is in excellent condition.
