About this item
An unusual, two part copper nougat or ice mould. This would have been used for moulding a table centrepiece, in the shape of a comport, which would have been filled with small, ice cream fruits. The ice cream fruits would have been made in small pewter moulds. We have a selection of these in the category for pewter mould on our website. This mould is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and the copper has a slightly planished finish. It dates from c.1870 and is in excellent condition, although the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Western Europe add £10.
