About this item
A 19th Century Carved Carrara Marble Chimneypiece in the Renaissance style. It has stepped moulded foot blocks below richly decorated jambs with Corinthian capitals. The inground has twining vines and bunches of grapes, below a frieze featuring a central mask, foliage and floral decoration branching towards corner blocks of stylised dolphins. Below a carved and moulded shelf.
