Description

This is a Royal Mint proof-set plaque converted into a pendant with an applied foliate fitting and suspension ring. The face is struck with the crowned Royal Arms above the ROYAL MINT ribbon, with the Tower emblem and Tudor rose above.

The plaque belongs to the medallion type made for inclusion in Royal Mint proof coin sets, with sterling silver examples supplied for silver proof issues. Its marks identify The Royal Mint and date it to 1984, while the Tower emblem refers to the Mint’s centuries inside the Tower of London.
