About this item
This is a Victorian gilt watch chain which is made up of a single length of fine mesh link interspersed with long twist bar links and larger oval links with a knot design.
The chain measures 430mm long from end to end and the largest link measures 6.7mm.
The chain has a gilt dog clip and a smaller bolt ring and in the middle there is a large bale from which hangs a large bolt ring which measures 21mm wide
The chain is in 90% mint condition – faint traces of metal coming through the gilding in places but still an attractive chain with a useful bolt ring.
