This is a Swiss / Canadian watch made for the Canadian market.
This watch has the main dial and movement area with a snap on back. This case has struts which support the two closing, sliding covers. As these covers are opened, there is a sprung strut on the back, which pops into place allowing the watch to stand upright on a desk
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate nickel movement has a lever escapement, is signed "Marshall Watch Corps, Canada, 17 Jewels, Unadjusted" and is in 95% mint condition
Dial – the silvered dial has baton numerals and a full set of old luminous gilt hands (no longer luminous) and a red tipped centre seconds hand. The dial is signed “D Gumbiner, 17J Shockproof, Unbreakable mainspring” and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the gold plated case has a smooth plain finish on the inner case and snap on back. The outer case has a textured gold finished leather covering making it look like metal
The case also has a small suspension loop to attach it to a chain. The case is in 95% mint condition
The watch when closed measures 53mm x 35mm x 15mm
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch has a synthetic glass
