    An Inpartial and Correct History of the War Between the United States of America and Great Britain, Comprising a Particular Detail of the Naval and Military Operations, by T O`Connor published in 1817.
    Book has been finely rebound in dark tan leather with raised bands gilt ruling to same, red title label gilt titles and date to spine, new end papers. Title page has some marks or stains, original third endpaper has a hand written note stating that " this book was sent to me in July 1819 by my cousin German Thomas O`Connor of New York the author, signed, Mr Wm MacDermot , Coolavin may 28th 1820, all in beautiful copperplate handwriting, Below this is written, this book was read by one - the great grandson of the above, Hugh MacDermot in the month of Aug 1920, one hundred years after the above was ? (we cannot decipher the word but must mean read ) Coolavin Aug 1920.
    This copy was bought along with the rest of the library by us from Coolavin House Co Sligo, the MacDermots were the Princes of Connought who trace their lineage back to Brian Boru.
