    A late 19thc Canadian native Birch bark Canoe 24" long, made in the traditional way of a full size one with the stripped bark from a birch tree probably for the tourist market, a rare survivor this was brought home according to family repute by Walter & Nester Skrine, Nester was a famous Irish author and collector of folk songs she published under the name of Moira O`Neil, she was mother of the famous Irish author Molly Keane, together Walter & Nester farmed in Canada in the early late 19thc to the 20thc, we purchased this from the Skrine family at Ballyrankin house the Irish home of Walter & Nester & Molly.
