Stunning original saturn ring Lalique style opalique glass plafonnier by James.A. Jobling & Co Limited. During the 1930's Jobling's introduced their opalique glass - a hand pressed opalescent glass made from moulds - commissioned and made in France by Frankhauser. Frankhauser was the most prominent Parisian art glass mould maker.
The central glass plafonnier details 3 opalescent doves - registration number on glass. Opalescent glass only dimension 185mm diameter x 80mm high. Original frosted glass saturn ring - dimension 445mm diameter. The plafonnier is suspended by three ornate chains. Ceiling rose 80mm diameter. Overall height 480mm
