Superb Victorian pocket watch chain c1890

This is a really superb example of a Victorian pocket watch chain. The chain is much more substantial than most chains of this period and measures 310mm in length from the T bar to the dog clip. The chain is made up of 4 very unusual long links which have a coiled spring like centre and are encased by two mounts either and unusual twisted struts. These links measures 31mm x 6mm. These are joined together by lengths of curb links. The chain also has one additional link from which to hang a fob or accessory. The chain is in 90% mint condition – areas on each box link where metal is coming through the gilding but still a very striking and impressive chain
