Fancy pocket watch key with hair watch chain c1890

This is a gold plated pocket watch key which has an oval base set with a green hard stone. The key has a central suspension loop and is a size 3-4 approx. The key measures 51mm long x 12mm x 11mm on the base. The key is in 80% mint condition – some signs of wear with a visible seam and metal coming through the gold plating. The key doubles as a T bar on a gold plated and HAIR Victorian watch chain. The chain measures 370mm and is made up of woven hair. This was a common practice in Victorian times. The chain has gold plated mounts and a dog clip. The chain has some fine loss in the centre.
