With Two Internal Removable Caddies and Retaining Its Original Glass Mixing Bowl

33 cm wide x 17 cm deep x 19.5 cm high
A beautiful restrained 19th Century tea caddy of sarcophagus form with angled sides and lid. All raised on low, bun feet. The lid opening to two removable caddies with decorative brass hinges, the original glass mixing bowl between. The interior lined with red waxed paper, embossed with a bird in foliage pattern in imitation of silk. The caddies with much of their original foil lining. The key escutcheon with bone inlay (key deficient). The base retaining much of its original printed patterned paper.
A very imposing caddy of wonderfully pure form and in exceptionally fine, original condition.
