    This is a truly splendid antique oil on canvas portrait painting by Robert James Gordon RBA (British fl. 1871-1893) signed with initials lower right and also inscribed with the name of the artist on the reverse, late 19 century in date.

    This beautiful oil painting is a portrait bust of a young beautiful lady wearing a lace bonnet with a light blue bow. Painted in the impressionists style with the focus on the play of light and shadow.

    It is housed in it's magnificent giltwood frame which adds extra splendour to this remarkable work of art.
