    About this item

A Victorian silver granite inset round scent bottle, made in Birmingham in 1891, the makers mark is rubbed. The scent bottle is inset with two colours of granite both from Aberdeenshire in Scotland. The dark grey pieces come from Rubislaw Quarry in Aberdeen and the salmon pink pieces are from Correnie Quarry beside Alford in Aberdeenshire. This was possibly made by J. Cook & Son who were well known for making pieces for the Scottish market. It is in excellent condition and there is no damage to any of the 18 pieces of stone.
