DB0796 RECLAIMED ARTS & CRAFTS OAK EXTERNAL / INTERNAL DOOR

A handsome reclaimed Arts & Crafts oak door suitable for internal or external use. The door, C.1910, has been well made and is very heavy. The door has two recessed panels with mouldings around them on one side and above these there are two panels, each fitted with 8 small wired glass pieces, with elegant oak glazing bead in-between each. The oak has a nice grain. The oak has a varnished finish but there are some scratches and scuffs and you may wish to sand and re-finish the door to suit. The side edges of the doors have a shallow groove made in them, with a plastic strip fitted in to the groove on one side.

The door is in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of age and some damage, as expected. The door has some knocks, small holes and chips and there are some indentations where it has been knocked. The oak has some scuffs and splinters. There is a crack to one side of the door, near the lock hole (see pictures 6-8) and the other side has a knock near one hinge.  There is some very slight separation at some of the joints. The door has some holes and marks from hardware removal. There is some residue glue around some of the panels edges. The finish has some scratches and marks. The hinges have some tarnish. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a handsome appearance and it would make a nice feature for a home.
