DI0747 A SMALL RECLAIMED ANTIQUE PINE CARDIFF INTERNAL DOOR
A petite, elegant, reclaimed, antique Cardiff door. The door is suited to internal use and has been well made and is likely to date to the late Victorian period. The door has two solid recessed panels at the base, surrounded by mouldings. Above the solid panels, the door has the traditional style glazing panels with centre panel and border glass. The door has four square red textured, patterned, corner panels and there are four rectangular plain coloured, textured patterned glass border panels. The centre panel is unglazed and will need to be glazed with glass that meets current safety requirements. We can glaze the centre panel, and re glaze the border panels if desired, for an extra charge. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The door has been painted white but the paint has chips, marks, cracks and staining and will need stripping and re-painting by purchaser to suit. The door is in good reclaimed condition but does have some signs of wear commensurate with age. The door has marks and holes where door hardware has been removed. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details. The hinges will need replacing and a hinge screw is attached to one face of the door. The door has some dents, marks, and some small surface splits that do not affect the doors strength. There is residue paint on the textured border glass. The centre panel has some rough edges where the glass will be fitted. The door width may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a lovely example of Victorian design and will make a lovely show piece within the home.
