About this item
These cushions are made from a vintage Indian bhutti phulkari from Punjab, India. The thick handspun and handwoven cotton khaddar is coloured a gorgeous madder brown (rust?) and the embroidery is in pale yellow and green floss silk. Phulkari means floral work and these textiles were originally made for a bride's trousseau by her mother and grandmother. I've use the phulkari for both sides of the cushions. One side includes the border pattern and the other side the pattern from the centre of the textile. So you can choose which side to have facing out and they are doubly lovely.
There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
