About this item
SUPERB BROWN TRANSFERWARE SAUCE OR VEGETABLE TUREEN and MATCHING PLATTER
SEAWEED PATTERN
Josiah Wedgwood and Sons
Staffordshire England 1883
This rare Victorian serving piece is transfer printed in dark brown. Tureen is 8” long x 5 1/2 " wide x 5 " tall.
The pattern features a variety of ocean seaweed drifting around the lid, base and incredible handles. Rarely do we see this pattern especially in this size and great condition. The pattern displays the victorian eras love of nature. Many consider this the very best in Victorian transferware.
Great condition, possibly never used.
