Recognised as one of Britain's greatest Marine artists. His earliest works show the influence of the Scottish Marine painter
William Anderson (1757-1837) who resided in Hull for some time. John Ward 1798-1849) another great Marine painter from
Hull may well have taught Redmore. 
The serenity and stillness in his paintings along with the artist's great sense of colour and high standard of draughtsmanship
make the works of high quality.
He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Ferens Gallery in Hull has many examples of his work
