About this item
This is a quirky little portrait of an even quirkier English entertainer, Cyril Fletcher. The embodiment of broadcasting history in Britain, he was one of the first performers on pre-war television, presented his own show on Radio Luxembourg and was a panellist in the 1950s and 60s on ‘What’s My Line?’. Renewed fame came with a regular slot on ‘That’s Life!’ from 1973 to 1981. It ought to be in the NPG really.
