A tranquil and delicately detailed oil painting depicting a coastal town of Gotland, an island in Sweden.
Through the use of a restrained light colour palette primarily consisting of green and turquoise hues, there is an expressiveness in the way in which the artist has painted this scene. Long soothing brushstrokes sweep across the surface very gently, imbuing the painting with a sense of calm and restfulness.
This oil on board is housed in a stunning frame with multiple windows, that enhances the overall piece. There is slight wear to the bottom left corner of the painting which is quite inconspicuous, and the painting and frame are good vintage condition overall.
