Large antique French etched gilt archtop mirror

19th century French archtop mirror, circa 1890, with outcurving etched gilt frame decorated with a burnished curving stem, leaf and flower design and a fanned acanthus leaf etched at each lower corner. A band of black runs around the inside of the etched section and then a row of gilt beading along the sight edge (edge closest to the glass). Where the gilding has thinned just a very little, hints of the terracotta bole beneath are showing through but most of the gilding is in very good condition.  The original glass has very little age and gives an excellent reflection.
