Anatolian cushions with ticking backs

These cushions are made from an early Anatolian textile in hand spun and hand woven cotton. The loom was narrow, only around 14" wide so I've sewn pieces together to make them wider for a cushion. However the block print has been applied in a very relaxed fashion with plenty of misses and smudges so it has been impossible to match up the pattern. This is a characteristic of the way the textile was made in the early C20 and should be seen as such rather than as a flaw. I've backed this pair with a very pretty vintage handwoven textile with red blue and green pinstripes.  There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
