About this item
This pair of cushions was made from 2 sides of a Rabari dowry bag. The bag was densely appliqued and embroidered and decorated with small white buttons. The standard of the needlework is exceptional. There a few losses of buttons where they have become brittle over time and cracked, but this is not really noticeable as the pattern is so abstract. I have tidied up the loose threads. They are very striking and would be a talking point in any interior scheme.
The cushions are backed with vintage hemp dyed a dark coral, there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
