About this item
These three lovely cushions are made from a vintage Sami quilt from northern India. The quilt is constructed from multiple layers of cotton topped with an Ajrak block print. The layers are held together with tiny quilting stitches and the result is a soft and strong textile. These Sami quilts are very hard to find now and should not be confused with the ubiquitous kantha quilts made from recycled saris. The colour is a lovely raspberry with accents of lilac and off white.
The cushions are backed with an equally beautiful vintage strip from East China. The textile is made from and spun cotton and handwoven. It has lots of slubby texture and the colours are complementary mixes of red, blue and off warp with a blue weft.
Ther are zip fasteners and feather pads.
