Substantial and striking gong, with distinctive appearance Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout Patinated bronze gong presents mottled golden tones Cast iron frame presents deep chestnut brown hues Set within a circular frame, the gong supported upon a leather strap Of deep timbre, the gong strikes with a confident tone Stout cork striking mallet in good original order Dashing tripartite base profusely decorated in ornate scrolled leaf motif Reassuringly heavy and robust at a weight of 28.7kg (63.2 lb)This is a captivating antique dining hall gong, presenting a distinguished chime and set within a highly distinctive show frame.
