Vintage sterling silver buckle bangle h/m 1975

A vintage solid sterling silver buckle cuff bangle , hallmarked 1975, assay office Birmingham. The bangle has a  scrolling foliate design on the front and is plain on the back.  
The bracelet is in excellent condition with minor surface marks consistent with normal wear.  It is in the Victorian style.  

Queen Victoria caused a surge in the popularity of buckle jewellery when she wore  one to symbolise her induction into the Order of the Garter.
Belt buckles are know to symbolise eternity, loyalty, strength and protection.  They signify a binding love between the giver and the wearer and a love everlasting as the loop has no beginning and no end.
