    About this item

    An attractive Worcester teapot stand of hexagonal shape with shaped fluted walls and rim. Decorated with a blue scale ground with vase and mirror reserves painted in a kakiemon palette in what is known as the "wheatsheaf" pattern alongside stlyised flowering branches and chrysanthemums. The frames with gilt detail and finished with a gilt rim. Fretted square mark to the base, c.1770.

    It measures 13cm (5 1/8") by 14.8cm (5 13/16") wide and 2cm (3/4") high.

    In very good condition: there is a nibble out of the glaze on one corner and a short firing line down one of the flute creases. Minor handling wear.
