About this item
An attractive Coalport tea cup & saucer with an oriental style pattern in underglaze blue with white reserves and richly decorated with gilt. Bute shape with simple strap handle and recessed well to the saucer. Unmarked, c.1810.
The cup measures 6cm (2 3/8") high and 7.8cm (3") rim to rim. The saucer measures 14.3cm (5 5/8") wide and 2cm (3/4") high.
In very good condition with no damage or repair. The saucer is very finely crazed with some light discolouration to the reverse and very fractionally in the centre. Some light handling wear to the gilt on the cup, mainly to the rim.
