    About this item

An unusual Leeds type finely potted small creamware bowl with ribbing to the lower part and hand pierced decoration below the shaped rim. It's purpose I'm not sure of, it is tea bowl sized so not practical for use as a slop bowl or sweetmeat basket and the shaped rim makes it questionable whether or not it would have had a cover. c.1790.

    It measures 8.5cm (3 5/16") wide and 4.8cm (1 15/16") high.

In very good condition: a few tiny flea bites to the rim and a tight glaze line from one of the oval piercings to the rim. No repair or restoration.
