About this item
An early 19th century, Bristol Blue glass Brandy decanter. This dates from c.1820 and is in excellent condition. It is decorated, in gilt, with “BRANDY” within an octagonal cartouche. This hangs around the neck by a chain, to resemble a wine label. The stopper is decorated with a letter “B”, in an elaborate script, to one side and a leaf to the other. There is very slight rubbing to the gilding which can be seen in the images.
