About this item
A charming original drawing of a Pekingese dog by H W Hellings, dating to approximately the 1930s. Herbert Wynn Hellings (1873-1948) was a Suffolk artist based in Ipswich, best known for his drawings of dogs and horses. This study of a very handsome Pekingese is a fine pencil drawing, perfectly illustrating the artist's skill as well as the character of the dog. It is signed by the artist. It is framed behind glass in a later gilt frame.
The drawing is in good condition, but there is a little flaking to the paint on the frame.
