Mid 20th Century Bohemian Glass Lemonade Set

A fabulous glass lemonade set, made in Czechoslovakia in the 1950s. It consists of a jug and a complete set of 6 matching glasses. They are made of turquoise glass which is partially frosted. They are decorated with gilding and handpainted enamel scenes of traditional fishing boats on calm seas, with gulls flying overhead. There is a polished pontil mark to the bottom of the jug, and it still bears its original label confirming its country of origin.

This set is in excellent condition and, because it retains its original label, looks as though it has never been used. It would be perfect for serving iced drinks on hot summer days.

The measurements given are for the jug. The glasses stand 9.5cm tall.
