A very rare pair of 19th Century mahogany marble top console tables, of exceptional quality, superbly hand carved and richly patinated with fine grain. The gorgeous, moulded white Carrara serpentine marble top of rectangular form is raised over a deep and shaped frieze with a stunning centred arrangement of stylised shell and scrolls flanked with beautifully detailed trailing flowerhead and foliate motifs. Supported on elegant, tapering cabriole leg with fabulously carved scrolls and acanthus leaves on knee, terminating on scrolled whorl foot.
