    A rare set of 18thc brass and steel proportional dividers, they are engraved with numbers, "circles" and "lines" on one side and numbers, "planes" and "solids" on the other side.....and as if that is not enough, they are also engraved with the maker Gilbert London. they have a very pleasing shape and a good natural uncleaned colour...a real one for the collector of early technical instruments.

    English - London. C1760.      (An identical pair were sold at auction in Oct 2013...estimate £800-£1200 - Price realised in sale : £1,750.00)
