FS0319 A RECLAIMED PINE REEDED FIRE SURROUND

A reclaimed classic style stripped pine fire surround. The surround has reeded detail along the crossbar and down the legs. There are plain corbels on each side, under the mantel. The pine has had a waxed or varnished finish at some point and the surround has a nice colour and grain. The fire surround could be paired with a cast iron insert or used for decorative purposes. The inner edges of the surround protrude out further than the legs, on the back face of the fire surround. In order for the surround to sit properly we can cut the inner edges so they will be flush with the wall or so they are suitable for use with a fire insert. We will do this work included in the price, please contact us if you would like this service and to discuss how you would like the inner edges cut. Please see the last two pictures for images of the inner edges. 

The surround is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of use and some light damage, as expected of reclaimed items. There are some knocks and chips in the pine and there are some cracks and surface splits. The back edge of the mantel has a knock. The left hand edge of the mantel has a knock. The pine has some small spots of paint residue and some discolouration and staining.  Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround has a classic look that would suit many interiors and will finish a fireplace nicely.
