A rare find! Very wide 19th century French archtop mirror, circa 1890, with etched silverleafed frame decorated with leaf, stem and flower design and with an acanthus leaf etching in each lower corner. The silverleafing is in stunning, original condition with an attractive patina where hints of the black bole beneath the silverleaf is just showing through. The original glass has a little light age and gives an excellent reflection. This mirror will make a stunning overmantel and we have not seen one of this size and in such good conditon for many years.
