Stunning large scale continental Alabaster plafonnier

A larger scale Alabaster decorated plafonnier in perfect condition with 4 internal light points  - and superb fish scale wooden carved ceiling boss to which the chains attach - the measurement given is  from the top of the boss to the base of the alabaster bowl .  The previously painted surround is beautifully carved and  its muted colours match the colours of the natural alabaster perfectly  -  66 cms dia -- this needs a bigger space  - there is also an additional  cast brass decorative ceiling rose  which can be used both should more chain be required above the boss   or as is .

 We can quite confidently say that this is the nicest most authentic and beautiful plafonnier  we have ever purchased   - it  would sit well beneath a glass cupola  or above a large circular dining table - perhaps a grand entrance to a villa .

 Probably Italian  - certainly continental and dating circa 1920- 30

 Wiring is included  for this plafonnier and we would expect to complete that after the sale  - please discuss with us the length of chains required   .
