    A very fine 19th Century elegantly simple, giltwood overmantel mirror of exceptional quality and neat proportions.  The shaped mirror glass plate of archtop form is set within a stunningly hand carved, moulded and fluted giltwood frame with fabulous lambs tongue, flowerheads, beaded row and sanded detail throughout.  Supported on shaped platform base with a further decorative arrangement of scrolling acanthus leaves to the sides, beautifully carved in high relief.
