About this item
This is a fabulous medieval bronze armorial seal dating to the 13th—14th century. The seal is engraved with a set of arms in a richly cusped Gothic circle. The owner's name is inscribed in 'Lombardic' script. The seal is of a 'chessman' type with a quatrefoil handle. It is a great-looking piece in excavated condition and will benefit from a clean and further research.
