The jug has a generous flared spout and reeded raised strap handle with outward spur. Both hallmarked for Birmingham 1929, makers Adie Brothers Ltd. The cover with partial marks.

The caster measures 16.5cm (6 1/2") high and 5.5cm (2 1/8") wide. The jug measures 13cm (5 1/8") high and 9.2cm (3 1/8") spout to handle and the two weigh 208g / 6.7ozt. In excellent condition with no damage, dents or repairs and very clean inside. Very light handling wear, they have clearly been minimally used. The case has only minor scuffs outside (the grey appearing line across the top edge is just light reflection), the inside; the velvet is fine, and the silk is in good order, just very slight yellowing to the top edge as you see it open and there is a strap that held the cover a bit closer in which has torn but understandably as it is a heavy lid.
