M1957 A SET OF VERY PRETTY RECLAIMED VICTORIAN FIRE TILES

A set of beautiful, reclaimed, Victorian fire tiles. The set comprises of 14 tiles, 6 large and 8 smaller and are designed to sit with 3 large and 4 smaller tiles (30" each run approx) on either side of a cast iron tiled fire, but could be used for other interior design projects. The larger tiles have a very pretty design with pink flowers on a cream background and a border of vines and leaves. The smaller tiles are textured with a raised leaf design in a pink/brown colour and pale blue border at the top and bottom of each tile. The tiles are solid but have some repaired damage and some signs of age and wear, as expected of reclaimed antiques. One larger tile has had a break and two smaller tiles have had breaks. The tiles with breaks have had repairs but please note the cracks can still be seen. There are some larger chips to the tiles and other tiles have some small chips and knocks. There is crazing to the tile glaze. The backs of the tiles have smoke residue. Please see pictures for condition details. The tiles have a lovely Victorian design and would be perfect for adding character to a cast iron tiled fire or to add character and charm to a home project.
