DE1010 A RECLAIMED OAK GLAZED FRONT / EXTERNAL DOOR AND FRAME

A handsome, reclaimed, oak external door and frame. The door is heavy and well made with a traditional design with planked detailing. The door has a glazed panel, fitted with textured glass. The glass is unlikely to meet current safety standards. You must check with your builder and if the glass does not meet regulations you MUST change it before use. We can re-glaze the door for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The door has a space for a letterplate and there is a weather strip at the base. The door has a simple oak frame. The frame has had a new oak baton added to one side to try to equal the side rails as one was wider than the other, although there may be slight differences in width still. Please note that this new baton stops before the base of the rest of the frame and is not as deep as the rest of the frame (please see the last 3 pictures for details). The door has had a varnish applied to it at some point but the varnish is old and fading and you will need to sand the door and apply a finish to suit. 

The door is in solid condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected of reclaimed items. The frame has some holes, knocks and splintering. The door has some holes and marks from door furniture removal. The lock receiver will need to be removed as the lock is no longer present. The oak has some stains and marks. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is of a good quality and has a handsome traditional appearance, perfect for adding character and charm to a home.
