A rustic country-house dough bin from the 19th century.
This would have originally been used in the kitchen to mix bread dough and let it rise under the wooden cover. In the modern home, however, it makes a highly functional coffee table or end table.
- Lift-off lid reveals internal storage space.
- Characterised by its tapering body and four slightly splayed legs.
Wear and tear appropriate for age and use to include some wood loss to the lid as shown in photographs. Evidence of historic woodworm throughout which has been retreated as a precaution.
