    About this item

A very attractive 19th century English grain or dry measure. It is made of bent wood with iron banding to hold it in place and give it strength. The front is stamped 'Half Gallon' along with the  King's crown. The base is supported with more iron banding. This piece has a lovely rich patina from years of use.

It is in great condition for its age.
