    About this item

This fireside trammel is very fine quality and unusual being in solid copper....it is fully adjustable and would have been used to suspend kettles or pans over the range or open fire in the Manor / Farmhouse kitchen....it has gained a very attractive colour from years of domestic use and it has been a very long time since I had one made entirely of copper, usually they are made of wrought iron and can be quite crude in construction....in very good condition.

    English. C1840-60.
